.: Preschool Classes
Baby Bugs – A 30 minute class for children (newborn – 18 months) and their parents. The class is designed to foster parent-child bonding, social interaction, muscle development, and introduce basic locomotor skills. The class will utilize music, colors, shapes, and sensory stimulation.
Bitty Bugs – This 30 minute class is for children ages 18 months to 3 years and their parents. The class will introduce physical fitness, locomotor skills, social interaction and fundamental gymnastics to children while being encouraged by mom or dad. This class will utilize preschool size equipment in an obstacle course style format.
Tumble Bugs I – This is an hour long class recommended for boys and girls ages 3 to 4 years old. Gymnasts will be introduced to the basic concepts of gymnastics using a variety of stations. Emphasis is placed upon following directions, locomotor skills, and learning basic gymnastics concepts.
Tumble Bugs II – This one hour class is for boys and girls ages 4 to 6 years old. Preschoolers will continue to learn the fundamentals of gymnastics on various apparatus. This level encourages skill mastery, enhanced coordination, flexibility, and strength, as well as, reinforces behaviors (listening, memorization, demonstration, turn-taking, etc.) required of children entering or already in school.
Tumble Bugs III –Tumble Bugs III is a one-hour class for 5-to-6-year olds. This class transitions to larger-sized equipment, preparing children for Beginner classes in the big gym.

.: Girls' Recreational Classes
Jr. Gold Bugs – (By invitation only.) This is an accelerated 90-minute class for girls age 2 to 4, who show an early ability in gymnastics. The focus of this class is skill attainment on trampoline and the four Women’s Olympic Events; strength and coordination development; and increasing balance. Jr. Gold Bugs may learn a routine and perform at exhibitions.
Gold Bugs – (By invitation only.) This is an accelerated two-hour class for girls, ages 2 to 4 years old that show signs of grasping gymnastics quickly. The focus of this class is skill attainment on trampoline and the four Women’s Olympic Events; strength and coordination development; and increasing balance. Gold Bugs may learn a routine and perform at exhibitions.
Beginner – This one hour class is for girls ages 6 and up who have never participated in gymnastics or done minimal gymnastics before. Gymnasts will learn basic form, technique, and fundamental skills on floor, vault, balance beam, uneven bars and trampoline while developing coordination, body awareness and balance.
Advanced Beginner – For girls ages 6 and up who can demonstrate competency in Beginner skills. This hour-and-a-half class will allow the gymnast to build on the Beginner-level skills to prepare her for the Intermediate class or Fast Track.
Intermediate/Advanced – An hour and a half class for girls who have attained a majority of the skills taught in Beginner. The class emphasizes skill perfection and amplitude, performing combinations, and enhancing strength and balance.
Gold Medal Competition – Participants in any beginner, advanced beginner, intermediate, advanced or adult classes can take this class to learn a competition-style routines on each event. An in-house competition concludes this class at the end of the Fall/Winter 2012-2013 session.

.: Boys' Recreational Classes
Boys' Beginner – This is a beginner level class for one hour that teaches basic tumbling and fundamental skills to boys ages 6 & up on all of the Men’s Olympic Events and trampoline. The emphasis is on skill attainment while encouraging coordination, body awareness, strength and balance.
Boys' Advanced Beginner – This is a middle level class for on hour that focuses on mastering skills on all of the six Men’s Olympic Events and increasing upper body strength in preparation for intermediate or pre-team. It is for boys that have passed Boys' Beginner or have the consent of the instructor.
Boys' Intermediate/Advanced – An hour and a half class for girls who have attained a majority of the skills taught in Advanced Beginner. The class emphasizes skill perfection, amplitude and performing combinations. Advanced focuses on skill mastery and prepares gymnasts for Diamond Team.

.: Special Interest Classes
Parkour – Parkour is a movement-based class that combines gymnastics skills with spatial awareness. Participants are taught gymnastics-related movements to move from one area to another. (This class is open to boys and girls).
Gladiator Challenge! – In a parkour-like environment, participants will partake in relay races, obstacle courses and challenge events to work on speed, coordination and agility while jumping over, under and through things!
Special Needs – This class is for boys and girls with special needs which enables the child to learn gymnastics skills in a safe and appropriate environment.
Adult/Teen – Perfect for retired gymnasts, high school gymnasts, or those looking to learn new skills. The Adult/Teen class is a self-paced class with a focus on what you want to do! Try it today! |
